Pomelo is a citrus plant grown in tropical regions of Asia. The fruits are large (up to 25 cm, weighing 2–3 kgs) with the skin being green to yellow colored when ripe. The inner edible flesh is pink, white, or cream colored and sweet to sour in taste. In general, pomelos taste very much like grapefruits. Pomelos are an excellent source of vitamins A and C, fiber, potassium, iron, and calcium.
